Dr. Mads Gilbert Coming to Seattle – Join Us
I am honored to be MCing an evening with one of the greatest friends of the Palestinian people anywhere, Dr. Mads Gilbert in Seattle on March 11. The event, which will take place at Town Hall is a fundraiser for KinderUSA, which has served the children of Palestine, the Middle East and around the world for years. Their staff are an example of selflessness, dedication and hard work. Hope to see some of you there.

In July 2014, when Israel suddenly escalated its ongoing bombardment of Gaza, Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert dropped everything and headed to Gaza. For the next two weeks, he worked day and night at al-Shifa Hospital, dealing with casualties, repairing serious injuries, and trying to save lives. While helping the wounded, Dr. Mads Gilbert kept a camera in the pocket of his scrubs and was able to document some of the human suffering caused by Israel’s attacks on the Palestinian people. His presentation is a story unseen on television or in the newspapers. It is also a tribute to the courage, endurance, and strong spirit of Palestinian health workers, volunteers, and throughout the severely tested society of Gaza.
This event is a fundraiser for KinderUSA’s psychosocial and food security programs for the children in Gaza, who have endured 3 wars in 6 years.
