Years of war in Gaza have broken the bond between mothers and children. Suffering from severe psychosocial trauma, mothers are unable to nurture their children. This year, KinderUSA focuses on restoring that bond and creating healthy interactions between parent and child.Another area of continued focus is the ever-present food insecurity. By helping provide healthy, nutritious meals for the most impoverished Palestinian children and their families, and by supporting women head of households, KinderUSA is alleviating this daily struggle.KinderUSA’s programs work directly on the ground with the most needy communities. Because they are smaller scale, they have a meaningful, tangible impact on the communities that might otherwise be neglected. Kinder fills the gaps not met by larger organizations, as quite often, the poorest fall the cracks of the large scale projects.

This year’s annual fundraiser will be held on Sunday May 15th and we are pleased to have renowned Arab American journalist and author Dr. Ramzy Baroud as our keynote speaker. In addition, we will hear from Dr. Jess Ghannam, KinderuSA Board Member, about his firsthand experience on the ground in Gaza just a few months ago.
